My father went to the hospital at dawn, and when he still hadn't come back after a long time and I called to check, it turns out the desk employee — whether she's a nurse or a nursing assistant — had left his name off the list by mistake and made him wait an extra 2 hours, and not only didn't apologize but completely ignored him while he was talking right in front of her. Is this okay? You people are getting paid to do this job. Even when it's already crowded and chaotic, the desk should be keeping order and calling people in sequence — instead, they half-heartedly call once, and if the person's not there, they skip to the next, don't call them back, and don't even manage the monitor screen up front. He'd been fasting to get blood drawn since dawn without even eating and waited, only to be made to wait even longer, and couldn't even go to the bathroom, just sat there watching for his name to come up on the monitor, and then they didn't even call him but insisted they did. Someone talks right in front of them and they ignore it. Whether she's a nurse, a nursing assistant, or just an employee, isn't she basically dealing with sick people? Not just my father, but everyone who goes to a hospital is going to be sick, hungry and tired, so even if she really did call and he didn't hear it, is it really that hard to just say sorry, must have missed you, I'll take care of it, and send an elderly patient off with that one sentence? Instead she rudely insists she's not wrong, that she did call, and then buries her head and pretends not to hear, muttering behind his back — is that the work manual and standard at Dong-A? Even a regular office job or part-time job requires that level of flexible, responsive attitude. If that's too hard and too stressful, she should quit and shut herself away at home instead of causing trouble for people. And yet, working at a hospital full of sick people, why is her mindset and behaviour like this? When I went there myself, I also felt it was less kind, less clean, and less organized compared to other hospitals, but after what happened to my father today I'm even more furious. I'm not saying you have to think of my parent as your own parent, but at least do the job you're supposed to do properly. Checking the order and calling patients in, taking care of patients who got skipped, and calming down a sick patient who got upset because of your own mistake — that's your job. Because of people like you, the hard work and kindness of other Dong-A staff who smile while giving injections and kindly guide patients get devalued. If you happen to pass by and see this and think it's about you, then just like when you ignored my father's words, bury your head and reflect on your utterly broken work ethic.

Giving a one-star review is really too generous for the nurses. They don’t properly inform about notices, just say they’re moving rooms, then transfer patients and guardians to a general ward where only nurses and patients are, which was really unpleasant. They didn’t tell exactly when the room change would happen, just said it over the phone. All the nurses looked young, but does being young mean they can ignore manners? I’m also a middle school student. They were on speakerphone in the lounge where all patients are, making loud noise. Please be more professional, nurses. Please.

Kimchallcy, a few years ago I also came from abroad and was shocked by the very expensive medical bills. When I returned to Germany, the same tests took only 10 minutes and cost less than 1/100. Haha. The doctor’s mission isn’t just about making money...

One star is even too much. The doctor said he was in a bad mood and asked if I should tell the test results to someone like me, but did I get a free consultation? They are consistently unfriendly, and seeing no improvement, there's no hope.

One of the few top-tier general hospitals in Busan. Dong-A University Hospital is still constructing annex buildings, and the hospital layout is quite complicated. The staff's kindness is impressive.

When I wasn't hospitalized, the nurses were a bit unfriendly, but when I was hospitalized, the nurses smiled brightly and were very kind.

Everything is fine. Just be aware that even if you make a reservation, you will have to wait in line for a long time.
